"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities: the punishment that brought us peace was on him.".........Isaiah 53:5
At this time of the year I spend time reflecting on the past year. There are a lot of happy memories with family, friends, co-workers and even strangers. However, some sore spots do stand out. Some of those things I have to take blame for and some of the things were beyond my control. The purpose of my reflecting at this time of the year is in remembrance of the life my Savior lived and the death that he chose for me so that I can live with peace and joy and freedom. I lay all of the hurt that I have inflicted on others and all of the hurt that was inflicted on me by others at the foot of the cross.
A great place that brings this exercise home is spending time at Pretty Place. The chapel is open to the public during daylight hours seven days a week unless there are events scheduled. Join us for our traditional Sunrise Service, March 31st this year. You might want to make a weekend of it by being here for Family Camp. Call us for details.
