Record Crowd Attends Father's Day Concert at Pretty Place

A record crowd attended the Keowee Chamber concert at YMCA Camp Greenville’s Pretty Place chapel on Sunday afternoon, June 21. The concert generated over $700 in donations to the Keowee Chamber Music group. $250 of the funds will be donated back to Camp Greenville for Open Doors scholarships. Liz Austin, cellist for the group, said people were much more generous than usual with donations, especially after learning about the scholarship fund at the Camp.

Keowee Chamber Music, a professional ensemble and a non-profit organization, enlivens communities in Western North Carolina and the Upstate of South Carolina with eclectic chamber music offerings in historic and unusual settings.

For more information about Open Doors scholarships, contact Jeanette Watkins at jwatkins@ymcagreenville.org or call 864.242.1111, ext. 36.
